About Áine

Born and raised in County Tipperary, Ireland, Áine Minogue is an Irish harpist, singer, composer and educator whose work draws upon the music, language, folklore and cultural traditions of her native country.

With sixteen recordings to her credit and a performing career spanning more than three decades, Áine brings both practical experience and academic training to her educational work. She holds a Master's Degree in Irish Traditional Music Performance from the University of Limerick, Ireland, where she graduated with First Class Honors.

Her school programs introduce students to Irish music, language and culture through harp playing, singing, storytelling and traditional dance. Participation is central to her approach: students are encouraged to sing, move, explore rhythms, learn simple Irish expressions and experience the traditions for themselves rather than simply listen.
